Commercial Description:
Amber Ale brewed with Wild Maine Blueberries.
An amber ale brewed with all natural ingredients, including real wild blueberries and wild blueberry juice from the State of Maine this beer has a light crisp body and subtle wild blueberry aroma and taste, but is not sweet like many fruit beers. These characteristics have made the beer popular with all age groups, especially young adults and make the beer a popular part of many beer cocktails and mixed beer drinks. For instance, many people enjoy the beer as a part of a “Black and Blue;” an alternative to a “Black and Tan".

Dark amber pour with a large foamy beige head with good retention and lacing. Aroma is a whiff of blueberry, and after the nose becomes acclimated to that, nothing. Flavor is grainy malts, slightly oxidized on the finish, with some subdued blueberry character. Medium bodied palate with a pleasant chalky character.

Bottle courtesy of Mother in Law. Decent blueberry aroma. Golden body with white head a good carbinated bubble action in glass. Flavor was like drinking a carbinated bluebeery juice rather than beer. Somewhat metalic witha dry tart left on the palate.

Decent session beer. Not quite what I expected. The good thing is that the blueberry flavor was not overwhelming. Smooth, enjoyable, but nothing outstanding.

I loved this blueberry ale. It has a very low rating, i don’t know why. Personally i thought that blu creek did an amazing job at a bluberry flavored amber. The aroma is extremely desirable. and the flavor is uniquely frothy and not overly sweet. This is an ultimate session beer.

One of my favorite beers from these guys- pours a clear copperish colour with a medium sized white head. Aroma is sweet and enticing, soft but noticeable blueberry character. Mouthfeel is light, a little watery but filling. Taste is very pleasent and not overly rich. Blueberries, honey and maybe a little raspberry in it as well.

12oz bottle. Cloudy orange with large quickly diminishing off white head. Smells like a blueberry muffin - blueberries and corn. Smooth, more malty than hoppy, strange blueberry taste. Kind of reminds me of eating a bowl of instant blueberry oatmeal. So-so.

12 oz bottle. Poured a clear dark orange color. Head was thin and off white. The aroma was of white paper, subdued blueberry, and biscuity malt. Dry on the tongue with cinnamon muffin and syruppy blueberry flavors. Eh.
