Commercial Description:
Amber Ale brewed with Wild Maine Blueberries.
An amber ale brewed with all natural ingredients, including real wild blueberries and wild blueberry juice from the State of Maine this beer has a light crisp body and subtle wild blueberry aroma and taste, but is not sweet like many fruit beers. These characteristics have made the beer popular with all age groups, especially young adults and make the beer a popular part of many beer cocktails and mixed beer drinks. For instance, many people enjoy the beer as a part of a “Black and Blue;” an alternative to a “Black and Tan".

Pours an attractive reddish orange with almost no head. Strong blueberry aroma assails the nostrils, I hope this does not predict the flavor. Ooops, it does! Kinda fake intense overly sweet blueberry taste with a gimmicky quality to it...artificiality almost. The finish seems sort of cloying. I needed an ice water after this one.

first scent is a very strong blueberry aroman, the color is kind of an orangish amber color. Taste is similar to the fake berries in that post cereal. can’t say it tasted terribly realistic, almost kind of a pop artificial sort of flavor. not one to be sought out I actually had to come back and finish this rating, this taste has become absolutely wretched, indescribably so, ick, avoid at all costs

Nice cola brown color with a white head that has a touch of blue tint to the foam. Nice lacing. Malt flavors with just a touch of blueberry flavoring to it. Nice, but not as exciting as expected.

Blue beerries as soon as you open it. Very light tasting might be good on a hot afternoon but not in the winter in Chicagoland. Decent lacing and nice light amber color. Very berry finish.

Smells of fresh blueberries and a hint of roasted malt to it as well. Flavor is mostly blueberry and carbonation. My roommate said it first, but it tastes like blueberry tonic water. This really does need a kick in the pants, add a real good roasted complex and this would be wonderful.

light amber in color...aroma is fantastic, and is abundant of blueberries, and blueberries only...too bad this didnt rub off on the flavor...very watered down, dry mouthfeel....flavor is quite a letdown...a strong carbonated diet blueberry SAMS CLUB soda is what this could be labeled if WALMART felt like it giving it a go...stay away

This beer pours a red amberish color, clear, with a thin tanned foamy head which left a little lacing but dissappeared rather rapidly. The aroma was strong at first with blueberries and sticky malt in the nose, but pretty much nothing else. The flavor is light to medium bodied, slightly carbonated and tingly, but overall watery and light, yet somehow cardboardy dry! Some malt, a hint of blueberry and pear? but really, very light and nearly unnoticeable toward the end of this beer. Basically tasted like a red with a little cake frosting added into the finish. Very unexciting, and not my can of worms I guess. I will mention that I did come into this beer not a fan at all of blueberries.

Candy reddish amber with a thin head. A bluebeery aroma comes out right away, but the flavor is kinda funky and thin. I don’t really dig this too much ... the only fruit presence I get is like that fake fruit flavoring in a Pop Tart or some other bad pastry.
