Jul 18, 2006 12oz bottle. Poured a darker and cloudy orange/amber color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of a general herbalness, floral, caramel, and grass. Tastes of grass, caramel, and light herbs. The description scared me - but the herbal side to this one was on the subtle and not overpowering side. Thinner body.

Jun 6, 2006 This pours a thin, dull range with an off-white head that settles down to ringship quite abruptly. The aroma is grassy with a little soil tossed in. Watery. Actually not too bad once you get passed all that, kind of like a thin APA with dull herbs instead of hops. Apr 10, 2003 Dark golden to amber with a few centimeters of somewhat quickly diminishing off white foam. Almost sneezed with the first whiff. Smell of goldenrod and dandilions. Very herbal on the front. Thyme, sage and other more exotic herbs. Malt comes back to play for only a short time midway through the quaff until some interesting herbal/grassy flavors grow back. Interesting, but I'm more of a carnivore than a herbivore.

Mar 8, 2004 Slightly hazy golden beer with little head. Herbous almost lemon (like lemon cough drops) aroma. Very tart but limited malts or hops. The lemony taste is very present but not overpowering. Lacks body (but that may be better for such a tart beer). Not bad, but not a repeat.

Jun 25, 2005 Medium orange body that is approaching amber. Aroma of pears with some basil. There is also a hint of honey and a little bit of earthy leaves. The taste has some rich herbs with a little hint of apples and carrot juice. Actually, the taste is refreshing. A medium body with low carbonation.

Jul 25, 2007 Picked up a single 12-oz bottle from the Coffee Grounds in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Pours a caramel amber brew with a healthy and creamy off-white head that slowly dissolves. Great retention and lacing. Aroma of green vegetables, spicey herbs, celery, and a touch of bready malt. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonated with light bread and celery flavor. Finish is smooth, with some peppery texture with a vegetable, green leaf aftertaste. Not much bitterness but the vegetable aftertaste is well present.

Sep 1, 2006 Bottled. Poured a lighter amber with a quickly-receding cap of loose off-white head. The nose found grassy hops, caramel, and an odd array of spices (more floral in nature)... The flavor had a tacky caramel/toffee base, floral & grassy hops, soap, and earthy/grainy multivitamins... odd. Tacky on the palate with sticky bitterness around the edges. Light-bodied. Interesting but not very good.
