Pours a bright clear copperish colour, medium sized beige head. Aroma is of green tea (duh) lemon and soft piney hops. Flavor is noticeable of green tea as well, with a little spice and subtle hop finish. Nuffield (2724), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Mar 14, 2008 I liked this for all the reasons most people hated it: sweet notes lift a gentle citrus (orange) across my tastebuds, with a gentle mint flavor wafting through. Low sensation of hops (the best way for an IPA to be!) and a gentle fruit juice and flowers color. There are some unattractive elements to it, to be sure, including a bit of metal in the finish and a curious palate like a 7-Up and Orange Juice punch for a kids’ party, but at least it has some lambic qualities out of it. | 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 6/20 | Jan 21, 2008 12 oz bottle - Poured a hazy straw colot with no head. Aroma is lemony with no real hop aroma unlike most IPA’s. Taste is very dry and soapy. Tea and beer do not mix in my opinion. DRAIN POUR!!!! AlabastorJones (765), San Francisco, California, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Dec 10, 2007 i’ve been wanting to brew an ipa with green tea so i was excited to try this, I think i’ll do a better job though... way over carbonated, dingy dishwater yellow body, sweet yeast nose, extremely mild hops, barely even there, can’t detect any sort of green tea flavor, or any real tannins to speak of, more of a pale ale, off finish, sort of metallic, not very good at all SDbruboy (1832), San Diego, California, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Nov 10, 2007 12 oz bottle from moejuck as part of a passle of midwest IPA’s! Pours cloudy, murky amber-tan, sort of the color of my mom’s Gravenstein applesauce. Aroma reveals a bit of toasty malts and mild summer fruit, bit of clover, floral hops, wet cardboard and green tea bitterness. Flavor is just weird, malts that are either oxidized or overrun by the dominant green tea character, more wet cardboard, grassy and piney hop notes, making an overall astringent and tannic taste. Medium body and crispy carbonation. This IPA infused with green tea probably sounded like a good idea at the time of conception, but in execution it seems to me to be an oddly contrived and rather unpleasant brew. kmeves (1080), Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 27, 2007 Aroma of mild cirus and green tea. Color is a murky amber, very cloudy with minimal head. Flavor leans more toward the green tea than the IPA. Very thin. sliffy (2012), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Oct 18, 2007 Bottle: Pours an almost opaque peach color with a white head, leaving some nice lacing. Aroma, fruity, pears, mango, grapefruit, some doughy yeasty notes. Flavor, some fruits, herbal though, very herbal, some grassy notes as well, very doughy, kinda thick on the palate. Some rough herbal bitterness on the end, the after taste is a bit unpleasent. Lots of sediment left in the bottom. This is what I get for picking up every IPA in sight. kimcgolf (832), Dacula, Georgia, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 10/20 | Oct 5, 2007 This beer was really good....for about the first ten seconds!! Pour was hazy light orange, with a medium off-white head and okay lacing. Initial nose for this hazy off-orange beer was citrus grapefruit, as expected of a good IPA. First sip even mirrored this.
UNFORTUNATELY, a rancid nose and taste, which must have been the green tea, soon followed. Starting wlowly, like dark clouds on the horizon, this pungent acidity soon engulfed the flavor and finish, and to boot, there was even a tea-like residue in the bottom of the glass.
I downed the glass quickly, afraid that it was only going to get worse as it warmed. Stay away from this one.
