dopplerted (8), Rochester, Minnesota, USA does not count Oct 30, 2005 This is simple the best beer I’ve ever had. Enjoyed on tap at the Blue Cat, it had the best flavor and coffee aroma. A strong malt and chocolate flavor with an excellent coffee finish. An excellent example of a coffee stout! I would like to see it on their permanent menu...definitley worth a 4 hour drive to get some more. barleyPops (1079), Quad-Cities, Illinois, USA Sep 6, 2005 tap at the brewpub. by far the best beer I’ve had at the Blue Cat. this one is all about the coffee. strong aroma and flavor of smooth Guatemalan coffee. medium-bodied with some malt and hops for some balance, but like I said, it’s all about the coffee! eve (240), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Aug 23, 2005 Tried this at the brewpub. I’m a big fan of coffee stouts and I thought this one was good, not much head or body but a very potent coffee flavor hits you in the face like a quadruple shot of espresso. I like that in a beer. TheDean (785), MIlwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Aug 19, 2004 Updated: Sep 24, 2004Sampled this beer at the Great Taste of the Midwest in Madison WI. Even though my scores on this are accurate and well researched, ?Da Man? wants me to say more about the beer, so I will. Had a coffee flavor to it, but not one of the better stouts I've ever had. JMerritt (1313), Macomb, Illinois, USA Jan 19, 2003 Nice looking stout: black with off-white, frothy head. Aroma was a tad on the bland side with only subtle hints of coffee. But the flavor is fanstasic: sweet coffee, malt, and a slight hop finish. One of the greatest examples of a coffee stout I've experienced.
