drowland (1360), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Aug 20, 2009 On tap at the brewpub many times. A nice easy going pale ale that isn’t overly malty or hoppy... pretty simple, drinkable. couchand (182), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Mar 17, 2008 Opal brownish tan with some redness. Creamy white head.
Light subtle hop nose with some maltiness.
Some sweetness and a light hop fruity flavor. Some esters.
Somewhat cloying but a decent session beer. GeneralGao (3051), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Aug 28, 2006 Draught at the brewpub. Slightly hazy, orange color with white head that laced the glass. Aroma is almost non-existent with the exception of light malty caramel and flowery hops. Flavor is well balanced with malty caramel and flowery hops. Plesant bitter hop finish. heemer77 (4294), Savannah, Missouri, USA Mar 22, 2006 The body was a hazy dark orange witha slightly off white head. The aroma had grapefruit with a hint of toffee. The toasty taste was complemented with light oranges. This could use a bit more body, but is a decent session style pale ale. barleyPops (1079), Quad-Cities, Illinois, USA Sep 6, 2005 on tap at the brewpub. amber - red in color with a decent head. pretty good malt to hop balance, but still very mild. crisp finish that was a bit fizzy. SledgeJr (2957), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Sep 6, 2004 On tap at the Brewpub. Nice amber color. No aroma. Some lacing. I suspect that they use the same yeast on this one as they do for the Wheat ale. Slight ester taste. Nothing too special here. This is brewed in a style that people who prefer color instead of flavor in their beer would like. JMerritt (1313), Macomb, Illinois, USA Sep 29, 2003 Updated: Feb 24, 2004Orange-red with no head. Very low hop aroma, mainly bland. Sweet caramel flavor with pine and resin middles. Nice carbonation balance to this one. Crash (447), Macomb, Illinois, USA Jan 23, 2003
