Commercial Description:
Blue Cat is a rich smooth Porter with a distinct smokey taste. A deep copper color, medium body and thick rich head help to round off a very fine beer.

Had on tap at the brewpub in a pint glass. Nice and creamy. Apparent roasty flavor but almost too much... almost astringent. Lacking coffee and chocolate notes.

[On-tap at the brew pub, thanks Andymagnum!] Pours dark cola-brown with a small light tan head. Aroma is fairly sweet with a little bakers chocolate, some banana and a touch of apple. Taste has a good roasted malt character and is also quite sweet with some bitterness also present. Medium-thin mouthfeel, quite smooth, and has a long finish. Overall it isn’t too bad, especially for the price.

Draught at the brewpub. Clear dark brown color, red around the edges. Creamy tan head that left a little lace on the glass. Subtle chocolate aroma. Chocolate is the dominant flavor with honey and tofee accents. Yum. Great porter.

Dark brown in color, bordering on black. Head is off-white and mostly diminishing. Aroma is of malt, some coffee. Flavor was somewhat light and not as robust as I was hoping. Definitely a lightly hopped porter.
