22oz Bottle labeled as "Blonde Frog Ale", I’m guessing this is the same beer although the bottle reads; "OG 14.5 Plato, 28 IBU’s, 6.75% ABV" which differs slightly from the description here. Clear, light and very bright copper color with a white head that diminishes quickly to leave a bit of white lacing. Light banana esters, with a floral hoppy note. Very lightly flavored with a light maltiness and a good but balanced hoppiness. Finishes dry. A very pleasant beer.

4 ounce sample on tap at the brewpub 12/16/06. Very aromatic, floral, lightly spiced hoppy aroma. A light graininess is also there. This beer is nice and aromatic for the style. Surprisingly quaffable. Transparent yellow body with a small fizzy white head. Spicy, bitter hoppiness to start. Turns more cereal-like in the middle with some nice maltiness. Finishes dry, highly hopped with some noble hoppiness. There are also some floral hops present in the finish as well. Quite hoppy for the style and damn tasty. A pleasant surprise!

From a 22 oz bottle this poured a cloudy gold with a fat white head that looked like whipped cream, hung on forever, and left large lacing rings. Mouthfeel was smooth and clean, and flavors are fairly complex wth sweet caramel malts, floral hops, and and a hint of citrus. Slightly bitter finish. Fairly easy to drink.

9/13/08 From 22oz bottle. Aroma is light bready sweetness with a citrusy, piney hop balance. Appearance is clear gold with a well maintained white head. Flavor is less sweet and more bready, with an earthy, somewhat noble medium bittering. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, somewhat creamy, with a medium carb finish and somewhat starchy finish. Overall, I wish this stayed as sweet as it smelled, it’s not harsh by any means, but just somehow not easy drinking. 10/18/08 On draught at the brewpub, Fairfield, Ca. Aroma is very caramel sweet. Appearance is clear yellow with a well maintained white head. Flavor is citrusy, sweet, full flavored with a light earthy bittering. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, creamy, with low carb texture. Overall, very good and not thin like many Blonds.

~Hazy Golden colour. White head that quickly dissapears. Some lacing ~Smells of wheat and hops. Smells good. Strong Scent ~Lightly sweet malty taste followed by a light bitter hop taste that lingers. ~Palate feels a little grainy. Nice amount of cabonation. ~ I like this beer. Pretty simple and enjoyable to drink. If I wasn’t trying to rate 10,000 beers I would probably buy again.

Bomber. Pours a slightly cloudy apricot orange with a firm white head that lingers. Aroma is a little vague, of wheat and just a little light fruit. Hoppiness comes through as I sniff on. Wow, flavor is a lot nicer and more complex than expected: It’s very much a pale ale, but undeniably smoky - smoky like an old ale, believe it or not. Hops and fruit are fully present, not just apparent. This should really be classified as a pale ale in my opinion, and not just because the bottle described it as one. If not, it’s the best blonde ale I’ve had to date, and easily. I dig it a lot. A pleasant surprise. Overall, good to very good. Thanks Frog.

Clear dark straw (wouldn’t really call it a bonde myself) with faint, creamy head. Initially hoppy aroma - tropical fruits and perfume - which is quite intense. Fairly dry yet creamy body with hints of doughy malts and more fo the fruity/floral hoppiness (Summit?). Finishes with a fairly intense bitterness - I have a hard time believing that this is only 19 IBU. Quaffable.
