mpersinger (176), , California, USA Jun 9, 2009 Draft taster poured amber and without head but, left a touch of lacing. Aroma reveals hops, then the flavor has some sweet malt that rounds out spicy bold flavors. Rye tones are prominent, and cleaner yeast flavors compliment. bhensonb (4187), Woodland, California, USA May 16, 2009 Draft at 6.0%. 38 IBU. Orange color with white head. Mild citrus aroma. Med. body. Nice level of bitter over some rye and malt. Vac (2389), San Diego, California, USA May 11, 2009 On tap at Toronado. dark golden color, off white head, smooth drinking, didn’t have any "rye" flavors per se (like the carroway seed flavors you get in rye bread). bb (2905), Martinez, California, USA Jul 11, 2005 Draft. Amber color with a nice off-white head. Sweet malt aroma, with a bit of spice. Fruit flavor with earthy malts and a smoothness I associate with rye beers. Easy to drink. Nice balance. Brewpub serves their beers way too cold.
