Commercial Description:
This is our new seasonal beer replacing the Oak Aged Red Ale. This beer is a rich amber ale with a generous portion of Rye Malt in the mash and a healthy addition of hops during the boil and fermentation. Slightly sweet on the tongue, with hints of floral hops, toasted rye bread and a warm alcohol finish, one tow many of these beers will have you looking for some aspirin in the morning!16.15 Plato, 29.2 ibu, 7.84%

Draft taster poured amber and without head but, left a touch of lacing. Aroma reveals hops, then the flavor has some sweet malt that rounds out spicy bold flavors. Rye tones are prominent, and cleaner yeast flavors compliment.

On tap at Toronado. Pours wthi a golden amber body topped by a medium thick ehad with some lacing. It’s slightly sweet yet hoppy with nice rye notes, a little malt and a touch of caramel. Medium bodied, smooth and dry.

Tap @ Toronado San Diego. Pours a mostly clear, deep golden color with a 2 finger off white head. Nose of light hops, spice, cereal grains and rye malt. Flavor was mostly rye with a touch of spice and hop bitterness.

On draft at Beachwood BBQ dark golden color, off white head, smooth drinking, didn’t have any "rye" flavors per se (like the carroway seed flavors you get in rye bread).

Draft. Amber color with a nice off-white head. Sweet malt aroma, with a bit of spice. Fruit flavor with earthy malts and a smoothness I associate with rye beers. Easy to drink. Nice balance. Brewpub serves their beers way too cold.
