| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 19, 2009 Bottle from Bevmo in La Jolla: My nose detects a minor scent of German spiced yeast with only hints of banana and clove but then again the aroma of the beer smells similar to an American macro. Created a fizzy short lived head and a firm golden color with a little bit of glowing power. Flavors are a bit more promising and reveal a taste of banana, bubblegum and hint of clove, although, still falling short of what should be expected from a true German hefeweizen. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 15, 2009 Banana and vanilla aroma.
Hazy blond color with no head.
Banana and vanilla taste with a soft carbonation.
Watery palate and the resin feel is off although the carbonation is soft.
Better at their Brewpub. Snojerk321 (1962), San Diego, California, USA
