Draft at the brewpub. An unclear light golden beer with a lazing thin white head. The aroms has notes of lemon, wheat, and chlorine - is it the water? The flavor is sweet with odd wheaty notes combined with notes of yeast, banana, and cholirine, leading to a dry wheaty finish.

On tap. Hazy yellow with a creamy white head. Fresh, citrusy nose. Medium body, again more citrus than banana and some yeasty accents. Dry and phenollic finish. 250709

22oz bottle. Poured a medium and hazy yellow color with an averaged sized head. Aromas of bananas, cloves, citrus and wheat. Tastes of wheat (a lot stronger than the aromas), lighter bananas, and spices. The tastes was also bready.

Hazy blonde with a nice white head. Light bananas and cloves in aroma. Good wheatiness and creamyness in mouth, nice little bitter notes in finish. On tap at BP, August 2005.

Nice banana aroma, probably some clove. Hazy pale gold color with a creamy white head. A bit thinnish in body. Starts with the requisite iso-amyl acetate, so much so that it seems a bit hydrocarbonish (although that’s really an ester), and there’s definitely light clove. Perhaps a hint of cardomom. Light clean finish with some clove remaining in the mouth. Rather light overall.

In the bomber bottle from HyVee CB. The cake of yeast was so compacted and there was so much of it that I could not get all of it into the weizen glass. Still, a beautiful pour of rich brown-tinged gold with a huge frothy white head. Nice esters to the aroma. While this was clearly not german in its profile, it was a very delicious and enjoyable beer. I would definitely buy this again.
