The aroma has notes of lemon and some malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of spicy hops, leading to a very bitter spicy hoppy finish. A bit raw in the hops. Appearance: Faintly hazed nutty dark orange.
Nose: Fusel burnt popcorn and olive oil covered nuts. Moderately spicy/peppery, but the infection is evident. Terrible.
Body: Medium thickness for the style, oily at times, diacetyl is obvious.
Flavor: fusel grains and sour caramel malt, no depth, goes from unremarkable and boring when cold to downright gut-wrenching when at proper serving temperature. Olive oil, truffle oil, diesel, bad bad bad. Lubiere (4552), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 10, 2006 Lightly hazed pale gold with resilient white head. Light floral honey hops with citrus notes. In mouth, light on malt, with lots of c-hops, and good grapefruits in finale. Lighter bodied IPA. Nice. On tap at BP, August 2005. bhensonb (4387), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 29, 2007 Nice citrus/floral hop aromas, though served so cold it needed to sit a bit to really get the aroma. Very pale gold color with a lightly ring lacing head. Medium body; moderate carbonation. Flavor seems to be citrus hop. Enough hop that it has a rather harsh impact*. There really seems to be a lot of hop, and this is not the DIPA. I’m sure there’s malt in there, but it is simply overwhelmed. This one is worth going out of the way for.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 7, 2009 Hazy orange gold body with a large lightly off white head from the bomber. A nicely powerful citrus and perfume smelling body is set off with some woody tones. There is also some peanut character. The taste is orange peel bitter with some almonds. There is also a sharp vegetable quality. Decent, but smells better than it tastes.
