| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 14, 2009 Clear, yellowish appearance, lighter than a typical IPA. A lemony aroma, lightly hopped... Sometimes I find aromas in beers that are oddly reminiscent of something completely unrelated to beer. On this one, and this is totally out of the blue, I am reminded of the smell of scotch tape. It’s faint, and not necessarily a horrible thing, but just kind of funny.
Taste is pretty good. Lacks the fullness of a world-class IPA. Peppery, citrusy, not super hoppy. Kind of toes the line between IPA and American Pale Ale. Enjoyable, but not amazing.

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 25, 2009 Bomber. Nose is heavy on the roasty, british smelling (not sure if that’s a true designation, but that’s what it reminds me of) malts. Light pineapple hops show just a touch. Flavor is the roasty caramel malt forward, with a tingling bitterness late. Much more APA/BPA than IPA. Quaffable, but nothing really stands out. Chickencoop (35), California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 11, 2009 Tasted this at a beerfest and enjoyed it, picked up a bottle to fully enjoy it, and was very pleased. Poured deep amber, with a nice fothy head. Smell was citrusy, but also a bit boozy. Taste was a typical IPA, but finished a bit boozier than I prefer. This is a good NorCal IPA, and impressive coming out of Fairtucky, but I thought it could have been a bit more balanced. I would still recommend. badlizard (2380), Berkeley, California, USA

Medium body, lightly burned caramel and a distinct peachy hoppiness that leave a solid bitterness. 250709 HughConway (367), Washington, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 14, 2009 Draft at the brewpub. A golden-amber beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of lemon and some malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of spicy hops, leading to a very bitter spicy hoppy finish. A bit raw in the hops.
