Commercial Description:
Just in time for St. Patty’s Day, here’s our Irish Stout on nitrogen. Irish stouts are typically drier and hoppier than their English counterparts, and this one is no exception. A touch more darkly roasted malts and a generous helpin’ of flaked barley gives this stout a richer and slightly drier mouth feel than our Oatmeal Stout. Aromas of caramel, brewed espresso and chocolate cake leap from the glass and your tongue is caressed by flavors of bittersweet cocoa and toasted coconut. A true stout drinker’s fantasy in a glass, this batch won’t last long. OG 13.46 P, FG 2.3 P, 38 IBU’s

Tap at the California Brewers Festival. Pours dark brown/black with little head. Smells like creamy toasted malt. Medium body. Sharpish carbonation. Flavor is dark roast malt with a little hop bitter, perhaps a touch of vanilla. Very good.

Draft. Nitro tap. Blackish beer with a nitro beige head. Roasty aroma. Light roasty/nutty flavors. Some hop balancing. Easy drinking.
