Oct 5, 2007 Tasted during the San Diego Fesival of Beer. Reddish color with smallish off-white head. Decent citrus aromas. Flavors were a little more toasted, with a nice hoppy finish. Not too bad

Sep 13, 2007 Auburn red in color with a small white head. Aroma of toasty caramel malt and a little bit of Pacific Northwest Hops. Nice caramel malt flavors. Not too sweet though. A little toasty malt too. Finish is mildly hoppy. Probably more crisp than anything. A nice amber ale. Probably the best thing I have had from this brewery.

May 28, 2007 Pours a fantastic deep red color. Big malty aromas and flavors. Nice big bitter finish. Excellent.

Mar 16, 2007 Sampled out of a bottle from BevMo. Has a mellow aroma with slight hoppy textures. Appearance is a rich amber. Mouthfeel is nice, but flavor leads a little to be desired.

Jan 30, 2007 Copper color with characteristic Blue Frog fine-toothed head. Aroma of toffee, lightly roasted coffee and light citrus hops. Flavor of intense caramel, lightly herby/grapefruity hops. Finishes substantially bitter. Quite pleased with this one.

Nov 15, 2006 Bottle. Aroma of malt and citrus. How good is that! Reddish amber color. No noticeable head. Flavor of malt, hint of strawberry, bit of wet paper, hops are present, but the malt rules. It really drinks well.

Oct 2, 2006 5 ounce sample tasted at the Fair Oaks Brewfest. Musty, yeasty, sweet, candy sugar aroma. A touch of ethanol is also present. Seems way off for the style. Not the best aroma. May be due to the plastic cup, though. Amber body with a small off-white head. Very malty, somewhat sweet flavor, which finishes with lots of peaty flavors. Drinkable and tasty. This is kind of like a lighter-colored baby scotch ale. Tasty.

May 1, 2006 Draft. Rich amber beer with a nice off-white head. Caramel and roasty malt flavor backed with citrus hops. Nice balance. Light malty aroma.
