Commercial Description:
This monstrous version of our IPA has been overloaded with everything from the malt to the hops, even the tunes we rocked out to during the brew day were huge. this bottle conditioned Double IPA is abound with aromas of citrus hops, English toffee, and fresh baked biscuits. Carmel notes, hoppy lovin’ and slight yeastie notes jump off your tongue.
Enjoy this bottle conditioned beer in a large snifter slightly warmer than normal with the one who keeps you warm at night.
82 IBUs

Thanks MikeTD. Hazy orange pour with white head that fades. Aroma is citrus but subdued. Citrus, grapefruit, lots of toffee in the background, with biscuits and a touch of chocolate. Big leafy and definitely dry-hopped taste like the hops were really fresh. Good beer.

Whoa, seriously this is some horrible stuff. I was fooled into believe Blue Frog would surprise me with this beer because of the fancy bottling and label, but holy shit was I wrong. I mean it’s not that bad that I can’t drink it but still some real bunk stuff. The beer is a hazed orange with thick white foaming for a head. The aroma is similar to dish wash soap and so is the flavor. I feel like I’m drinking a glass of tea with soap in it. Nothing else I feel like typing out—I’m done.

Poured hazy yellow with big white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, and alcohol. Flavor was of hops with some citrus hints escaping the alcohol burn. Kind of a harsh finish but drinkable.

Bartzilla’s Death Metal Beer Day Jun 07. Shared with Bartzilla, Naven, WeeHeavySD and others. I can’t complain too much since i didn’t pay for it, but this wasn’t a good beer. Yellowish. Harsh alcohol, not a lot of real hop flavor. ugg.

750mL bottle purchased at BevMo in Vacaville, CA for $9. Musty, rubbery, ethanolic aroma with a little earthy hoppiness present, too. Kind of strange from an IIPA. Kind of smells like an English version. Moderately hazy orange body with a medium off-yellowish head present. Wow, this is very medicinal, sticky, cloying, and roasted. Boiled vegetables are also present in the middle with some ethanol burn to finish. Hops are majorly subdued. Wow, the mouthfeel to this is probably one of the worst mouthfeels I’ve experienced. This is signficantly flawed. I wish I could get my money back.

750mL bottle. Hazy light brown-orange with a large rocky white head. Ruddy, earthen malt aroma with acrid vegetal hops and a sharp chemical component. Muddy, somewhat toffee-esque malt component. Earthen hops with a soil-encrusted grassy character. Plasticy, phenolic finish with a bitter yeast taste and residual dirty hop flavors. Mouthfeel is medium, somewhat dry.

750ml bottle via trade with brock_landers! - Pours amber with a fair offwhite head that stays well and leaves some lace. Aromas of slight citrus over grains and slight caramel. Flavor is citrus mostly and a little pine slight caramel and grain behind it but harsh carbonation and not good balance leads this to not be all that good of an IIPA..
