this bottle is from mcbackus tasting. Light yellow pour. Small white head. Aroma is grainy and seems like it might be bitter. And it is. Watery, grainy and a sharp bitterness...and not a good hop bitterness. No thanks.

12oz bottle: Vibrant yellow pour with a initially frothy head that settles down quickly. Some lacing left behind. The nose is really pleasant on this pilsner - a nice mix of grainy pilsner malt and clover honey. Sweet, but balanced by a soft punch of grassy hops. A smallish buttery/diacetyl note lingers in the background, but it builds on the creaminess of the malts and adds a tempting complexity. Some of the same clean, well managed malts make it into the body, but unfortunately it becomes watery and displays a bit of DMS as well. Even with the slight flaws, this has the right balance of creamy malt and grassy bitterness to help it rise above the bulk of average pilsners out there.

Clear amber with a fleeting head. Big grainy malt, salty aroma. Medium body. Mild flavors of semi dry, pale grainy malts with salty celery. Not really a great flavor, but drinkable.

This pours a very pale yellow body with a slender, short-lived head. It has a grainy, sugary sweet aroma with just a slight whiff of grasses. Pretty sweet drinking, but the grasses gain some bitterness in the flavor. Lightly bitter finish. Mostly harmless.

(Bottle) Pours a golden color with some haze and a small white head. Grassy, malty aroma. Light wheat, grain and a grassy bitterness in the taste. Dry mouthfeel. More taste than most organic beers. Not too much going on here as far as complexity goes, but it is a pretty decent beer.

Bottle. Poured a hazy, pale yellow with even carbonation. OK head with some lacing. Has a malty aroma. Flavor was lacking: some bitterness, slight fruitiness that finished with odd end notes. Not worth buying again.

12 oz bottle. Poured a pale, peachy color with a foamy opal head. Aroma was somewhat malty, with some fruit. Flavor was unpleasant and watery, a slight maltiness that ended with an ashtray flavor. No good.

12oz. bottle poured into a typical pint glass. Pours a light yellow with little head. Looks like a typical pilsner, smells like a typical pilsner and even tastes like a typical pilsner. Nothing really standing out on this one except maybe a little more hoppiness.
