Light yellow, like any Pilsner. Kind of light in taste, and then realized that it is only 3.9 ABV. The six pack I got could be bad, it foamed up on me 2 bottles of 3 thus far. I found it on sale at a World Market in my travels for 3.99 a six, I like rayofbeer, won’t buy anymore.

Bottle courtesy of maniac at the 8th Richmond Gathering. Hazy gold with an aroma of sweet cut grass and malt. Flavor was grainy and burned toast.

Bottle courtesy of maniac at the 8th Richmond Gathering. Pours blond. Short white head. Aroma is cereal, light honey and stale malt. Taste is malty with more cereal notes, light honey and grassy hops. Body is light and bubbly. Ends with more malt, cereal, faded honey and grassy hops. Not too terrible.

Bottle from Trader Joes Short Pump at the 8th Richmond Gathering on 06/06/2009. Clear pale yellow body with a small frothy white head. Big honey and toasty malt aroma, very much cheerios. Light cheerios, honey, toasty malt, some grainy flavor. Light body with moderate carbonation.

Hazy straw. Aroma of straw and fresh seabreeze malt. Light spicy character. Mild bitterness. Anise notes. Strawlike character. Weak - low bitterness.

So right before I sampled this beer, a comment popped up that likened it to earwax. I wish I hadn’t read that because I think that ruined it for me. It does have a pretty nasty bitterness to it. It’s even the same color too!

Did not enjoy at all. No flavor to speak of, and way too much soapy white head. Take a big pass on this one.

Thanks to cbkschubert for the bottle - pours a fizzy, semi-hazy pale gold, but fails to kick up a head - strong noble hop aroma, bordering on skunky, but never quite getting there - rather strong, dry, grassy hops combine with crackery malts to create a nearly chalky, tongue-curling dryness - but somehow the strong hop profile makes this much less unpleasant than it sounds - however, there are other flaws - flavors of metal and pool water arrive late, detracting from the relative tastiness of the hops - man that is sad - oh well, another crappy organic beer.

Pours a semi-clear straw color and white thin head leaves some decent lacing. Aroma of light grass and a touch of sweetness. Flavor is mellow but not missing. Straw with a touch of hop finish. Not bad but a style I don’t really care for.
