johndoughty (1660), cheslyn hay, West Midlands, England Apr 20, 2008 Bottle. Golden and clear with a gentle maltiness. A bit thin but still quite pleasant.I am surprised that others haven’t though much of this one as I was quite impressed. RichardGretton (2680), Leicestershire, England Aug 21, 2006 Bottle. Golden beer with a strong bubbly head. The aroma is nicely pilsner like, and the flavour is pilsner dry, slightly fruity and white wine. Overall a good palatable beer. eczematic (1170), Sydney, Australia Feb 26, 2004 a decent helles bock sort of thing. butter, prunes, dms, malt in aroma, all of above on palate plus a bit of warming alcohol, and faint bitterness. smooth and with a reasonable amount of flavour, not a bad effort. Sully (1362), Woolloomooloo, New South Wales, Australia Apr 28, 2004 Thanks to motelpogo's friends for getting married and going to Mauritius for their honeymoon. There is a real feel of 6 degrees of separation type stuff when you think of the linkages that allow you to taste a beer from another country. Well this presents like a typical lager, clean and crisp. There is a hint of the popcorn stand at the movies but is muted anough to be acceptable. The ABV is noted even though a bit thin in mouthfeel, more in the warming qualities than the big billowy fullness of some. Actually it is getting to be an occupational hazard these days when one regards a beer of 6% to be a bit of a lightweight. Good bitterness going down and overall if asked I would ask for more than lessitian. JonMoore (1551), Loughborough, Leicestershire, England May 10, 2006 Bottle. Pale gold colour with a slim white head. Malt in the aroma. Quite clean and crisp. Light bitter finish. Bit of a thin mouthfeel with detectable alcohol. Better than I was expecting.
