fro2218 (466), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Oct 2, 2007 Found a very old bottle on a shelf in a liquor store in CO. Cooled it and gave it a try. It was for sure old. A lttle sour and cardboardy. Some caramel and earthy flavors too. RSRIZZO (1332), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Sep 17, 2007 Had this beer on 8/2/1999. Color is a deep clear golden brown with good carbonation and head . Aroma is a rich malt scent. Taste is rich and malty. It starts with a full medium body that goes down with a rich malt flavor. The finish is a rich malt flavor with a light hop flavor and bitterness. LAboozehound (47), Lafayette, Louisiana, USA May 28, 2006 Very citrus-y flavor, thick, extremely sweet. Great inbetween a few rounds of a heavy beer. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 24, 2005 Notes from 1998 after cleaning my basement. Turbid gold, with aroma of hopcit, yeast, candi sugar. Not as full bodied as abbey dubbels, but fairly complex. A good effort. I miss Blue Moon. I only see Pumpkin anymore. rudolf (1734), Buffalo, New York, USA Dec 28, 2003 Cloudy/golden in color. Pure white head. Lemon, citrus and wheat flavor. Nothing great, but not bad. SETANTA (581), Allentown, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 30, 2002 Lots of candy sugar... gave it a cottoncandy quality Panzuriel (992), Westerville, Ohio, USA Sep 4, 2002 Really, this is a horrible attempt to mimic an Abbey Ale. It’s not nearly as fine and wonderful as the belgian ales. It’s heavy and rough, where they are smooth and light. Not very fruity. Basically a mis-named beer and a disappointment at that.
