greedycheater (80), Oklahoma, USA Feb 24, 2008 Light, stark and bitter nose. Yellow/golden murky presentation typical of the style. The first taste is hoppy, bitter, and rather unenjoyable. It is light and crisp on the tongue with an after taste that leaves a medium mouthfeel. Probably better with food than alone. I would say it is representative of the style, unfortunately the style does not suit my palate.
french tickler (505), Aylmer, Quebec, Canada Oct 5, 2008 Cloudy golden poor, small off-white head. Aromas of tangerine, yeast, resin, apple-pear. Lactose feel, medium carbonation, lightly sweet, zesty. Nice smooth citrusy goodness... far from overpowering but just nicely balanced. Very good Witbier! Gout de blé, pain et un peu de miel. tilldeath (26), Arvada, Colorado, USA Oct 2, 2008 Good wheat beer, since it’s left unfiltered it has a unique taste, that for some reason always makes me full. Can’t drink more than 3 of these in a night, but as maybe a pre BBQ beer it’s great. Light orange color, very carbonated, slightly sweet and tart, light mouthfeel. Not bad to start a night with but not the best. thewolf (3959), Kolding, Denmark Oct 2, 2008 Bottle @ Porterhouse, London.
Pours hazy and lightly pale yellow with a fine, frothy, white head. Low duration. sweet aroma, with a good dose of coriander, light vanilla, some citrus and wheat. Medium carbonation, okay mouthfeel. Flavour is very soft, sweet wheat, light citric and a medium aftertaste of coriander. Quite a fair beer. alraicercsu (104), Ft.Collins, Colorado, USA Sep 27, 2008 Bottle.
