Pours off brown with thin white head that doesn’t last. Nose is faint with some cola aromas. Palate is very cola-like as well, also with the carbonation, and some faint rum like spices in the background. Probably the most uninspiring example of this style I’ve ever had.

A winter screwcap. I was just becoming a beer enthusiast when BM released this. Malted maple aroma... Deep caramel, medium body; little fizzy; thinner head than avg. I taste maple. I wouldn’t quite say all filler and no killer. . . Great brew for working a puzzle when it’s snowflakes outside. Try 1/2 blue moon, 1/2 full moon for a special dose. Having it on tap at Coors is a blessing!

Sweet with some spice. Candy sugar is noticable. Pretty bland for a Dubbel.

Bottle. Pours a dark anber with a small beigh head. Aroma is sweet malts, toasted grains, caramel and some light fruit. Flavor was sweet with dark toasted malts, caramel sweetness, brown sugar and some winter spiciness.

Pours a dark brown with little to no head. Aroma was weak roasted malts, wheat, and yeast with hints of dark fruit and maybe cinnamon. The flavor was a weaker version of the aroma, very sweet. I am not a huge fan of this beer, but I wouldn’t turn down a free one.

Beautiful amber color, delicate lacing. Sweet aroma, slightly fruity. Smooth flavor, mellow but warm. A nice treat. This beer is mis-classified, by the way. The bottle states, "An abbey ale," and the alcohol content is 5.8% - This shouldn’t be compared to abbey Dubbels, because it’s clearly not trying to be one. Those comparing it to an abbey dubbel are "doin’ it wrong," as it were.

Bottle - from sampler pack. Dark brown color. Little to no aroma. This is no abbey dubbel. Maybe a brown ale. Not sweet, strong or all that malty.
