jcwattsrugger (4045), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Feb 27, 2008 12 oz bottle-pours a foamy to rocky light tan head that laces and copper/orange color. Aroma is medium malt-caramel, at first pour a hint of spice, some bready. Taste is medium malt-caramel, some bready, secondary earthy(English)/spicy hops. Light side of medium body. OK carbonation.
jcdsmack (46), Henderson, Nevada, USA Sep 25, 2008 Not a bad beer, I wouldn’t classify it as a belgian abbey. More like a special amber ale I guess you could compare it to Fat Tire. Let’s face it it’s 5 1/2 % ABV that’s not a dubbel. For a mass produced ale it’s drinkable. nqualls (420), Tennessee, USA Sep 19, 2008 Bottle. Poured a cloudy amber with a small tan head. Aroma of nutmeg and cinnamon. Flavor reflects the aroma. Decent but not great. donrajin (233), Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, USA Sep 19, 2008 Not a bad beer, but a far cry from a dubbel. Need’s a lot more depth and complexity to be called a dubbel. Again, not bad, but a little thin. KawaBomber (149), New Jersey, USA Aug 4, 2008 12oz Bottle ’07: Clear amber w/ a small off-white head. Some slight candy sugar in the aroma, not much else. Flavor is sweet malts. Nothing exciting here...time to move along. Funknmilla (525), Absecon, New Jersey, USA Jul 29, 2008 12oz bottle....cloudy deep amber..soapy tan head...light aromas of nutmeg & cinnamon a delicate thin lacing forming......the same light cinnamon flavor...light refreshing body..its good...sweet light finish..distinct Belgian characteristics in the finish
