Poured golden-red amber with a white head and a slight lace. Wasn’t impressed with the flavor, as it only really consisted of malt, nutmeg, and a slight taste of spice, no pumpkin included. Smooth, drinkable cheap imitation of a pumpkin ale. Would not buy again due to the lack of pumpkin flavor. Definitely could find a better pumpkin ale that would be worthy of buying over this. Not the best beer, but different, so I bought a six-pack. Average at best. Spiced American Ale, not a strong nose or compex backbone, but refreshing. Quite good with candy corn, as it pulls out the spiced flavor. ghostwheel (40), Hauppauge, New York, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 18, 2008 Initial taste is very spicey. You can taste the allspice and pumpkin "spices"...But no pumpkin flavor whatsoever. Really a Oktoberfest beer..not a pumpkin ale. And a poor one at that. Drinkable. But with all the good Pumpkin Ales out there today...it’s a cheap knockoff to loop in pumpkin ale drinkers who aren’t experienced enough to know the difference. save your money and buy something else. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 16, 2008 12 oz bottle, dated Feb 1, 2009. Pours a clear reddish amber with a thin fizzy head that quickly diminishes to a thin film that leaves a little lacing.
The aroma is sweet vegetal malts, toast and some pumpkin spices, especially cinnamon. There’s a metallic note as well.
The flavor is sweet malts and squash, with some nutmeg and cinnamon. There’s a little off bitterness and some heavy sweetness in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with some sharp carbonation.
Overall, an OK beer. There are much better pumpkin beers available, but this is drinkable.

A thin and foamy beer. Just not very special but drinkable. wcampbell (582), Central, South Carolina, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Oct 15, 2008 I did not detect too much pumpkin flavor of any kind in this one. Tasted like an octoberfest. Not too bad. Lightly sweet, caramel malty flavor. Watery aftertaste. Strange spices that were not especially enjoyable. Not the most drinkable beer. Nose has light pumpkin notes with spice. Taste is lightly pumpkiny. Overall this isn’t great but it isn’t awful either. Certainly sessionable, and overall not bad, it could be 10 times worse in my opinion. Tolerable pumpkin ale from a Macro.
