Well it poured a nice deep amber with a smaller bubbly off white head. Aroma was malty but weak with only a hint of pumpkin and a stronger hint of spice. Medium bodied with bubbly carbonation. Flavor was malt forward with a hint of spice and perhaps a tad bit of pumpkin. I would have pulled out a real pumpkin beer (Wyerbacher..Southern Tier..hell even Wolavers) but Steve isn’t a beer guy and I didn’t want to diss his nice attempt. Not really a good pumpkin beer but a nice gesture by a nonbeer guy so I appreciate that at least. meisterbrauMHB (53), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 6, 2008 Pours a nice golden orange color with a good head and good lacing. Aroma is one of nutmeg and cloves. Flavor is a hint of allspice, nutmeg and cloves with a balanced finish:not overly hoppy or bitter. All in all, a nice seasonal ale. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 5, 2008 Poured a deep golden color with a tint of orange (I think). The head was small, but the I did immediately notice the aroma of clove and allspice: very nice seasonal aroma. The flavor was thin, but washed down smooth and clean. The aftertaste was a bit spicey with a hint of what I noticed in the aroma. Overall a pretty decent beer. A nice fall flavor for when one is wearing socks while working the BBQ. Not that good. Not well balanced. I usually complain about too much pumpkin in these kinds of ales, but this one was too light! Skip this and pick up the winter ale in a few months. It at least has some character. superdude1979 (61), Phoenix, Arizona, USA

While I admit I am a fan of blue moon on tap, I cannot believe I had expectations for this beer. It had a strong spiced taste, followed by that infamous macro aftertaste: water. rman18 (201), South Amboy, New Jersey, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Oct 4, 2008 Very light pumpkin flavor and aroma. I have had much better. There is a nutmeg taste to it as well and slight cinnamon. Not much pumpkin is a disappointment tilldeath (86), Arvada, Colorado, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Oct 2, 2008 not as great as i expected, Aroma, nice with a hint of nutmeg. Appearance amber hue with light tan head. Flavor was what really did the beer in for me, way to light on the pumpkin/nutmeg that should make this a seasonal beer. If you’re looking for a seasonal pumpkin beer this is not it. chandler0201 (351), Durham, North Carolina, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 2, 2008 Pours an amber color with minimal head. Aroma of pumpkin and cinnamon. Tastes a hint of pumpkin and even less of cinnamon but goes down smooth. Pumpkin "flavor" is disappointingly small.
