Appearance: Clear, deep amber color with a small, off-white head. The head is gone in seconds.
Aroma: An off vegetal note is the first thing that greets me. It is followed by light malt notes, a hint of spice and nutmeg.
Flavor: Seems to follow the nose as that off vegetal note (cabbage? rotting grass?) comes back. Right behind it is some spice and an off bitterness. Throw in a generally thin mouthfeel and you have grade A crap.
Palate: Medium carbonation with a medium-light, thin mouthfeel and a medium-long, bitter finish.
Overall: Pretty dreadful. Not recommended. Skyview (4095), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Nov 8, 2009 Picked up a single 12-oz bottle at Cellar’s Wine & Spirits in St Paul, MN. Pours a semi-clear amber colored brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that dissipates clean. Aroma of multi-grain malt, a hint of spice and a touch of yeast. Taste is light bodied, plenty of carbonation with flavors of caramel malt, some green vegetable and a hint of nutmeg. Finish is watery, crisp with a short lived spice aftertaste. Missing much of the pumpkin flavors I am used to by most other crafter breweries. bigguns22 (113), Maryland, USA

| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Nov 1, 2009 12oz bottle. Clear reddish amber pour with a thin off-white head. Banana yeasty aroma with some caramel and spice. Yeasty flavor with a bit of malt and spice. I am admittedly a pumpkin beer fan and this is the worst example I’ve had. They took their normal crappy beer and threw some spices in. Blech. brenn79 (212), Idaho, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 30, 2009 12 oz. bottle- Pours a red amber with little head, aroma is nothing impressive, almost smells like old beer. Flavor is of obviously pumpkin, malt and some spice. Overall a very mediocre beer. poisoneddwarf (222), Rathdrum, Idaho, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 30, 2009 12 oz bottle. Very faint aroma of clove, cinnamon. Mostly, it smells like mass-produced swill. Pours deep amber, nice head, nice lacing. Flavors are as described on the label. Kind of watery. This year’s version is better than the last few. This one at least has some pumpkin pie attributes. For the past few years, those flavors were MIA. kosko20 (321), Bemidji, Minnesota, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 30, 2009 Beautiful pour of clear gold with a frothy white head and solid lacing. Aroma is very good for a pumpkin ale: pumpkin, caramel, nutmeg, roasted malts. Flavor is bitter...and a little astringent. Palate is thin. Overall its kinda boring after a few sips.
