Branded by its predessors taste, Harvest Moon borrows distinct notes from its Belgian white lineage. The color is an unimpressive runny orange. The taste, meanwhile, is rather nondescript, with its professed spices being tamed by an innocuous, watered down mouthfeel. This particular seasonal brew feels like they actually removed flavor rather than adding it. Disappointing.

Poured amber in color, with a small, but well-retained head. I expected more aromas. Subtle notes of pumpkin and sweet malts are the only apparent tastes. Finishes clean. Pretty plain, but not bad.

Horrible Flavor. Pours amber like orange color, aroma is clove, pumkin, spice, and cinnamon. The taste is the same and bad and a very bad aftertaste.

Bottle. Aroma of malt, funk, and pumpkin? Initial flavor is very fizzy and semi-sweet. Not much body, other than the fizz, which gives way to a pleasantly spicy taste and then, well, that’s about it. Mostly watery, middling bitter (almost medicinal?) finish is a bit disappointing. But then, I consider the source, remember that beer, in general, is good, and I am pleased once more.

Nice aroma with a bit of clove on it. Nice amber color really looks the season. Good pumpkin flavor that isn’t overwhelming. Good balanced with a lingering of pumpkin and cinnamon. Tastes like Thanksgiving in a glass!!!

12oz. Bottle: Aroma of medicine and slight spices. Poured orange in color with a small to medium-sized, off-white head that lasted throughout. Clear. Very slightly sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet and slightly bitter. Tastes of malts, slight nuts, grains, and slight spices. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Grain and slight spice finish. Really no pumpkin flavor.
