| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 9/20 | Oct 22, 2007 This beer looks great in the glass, a dirty amber color, not too dark with a lightly toasted head. The aroma of squash or pumpkin. But the bad news is that as it warms the grainey malt and corn and/or rice really starts to come through. A touch of hops does seem to be present. The flavor isn’t bad, the grainey/grassey notes of the malts come through along with a pumpkin/squash taste. The water thin palate adds too my suspicion of adjuncts. Overall I rated this beer a bit higher than I thought I would considering it comes from one of the "big" breweries. It certainly captures the taste of pumpkin, is an intresting novelty. lovemyipas (420), sw burbs, Illinois, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 22, 2007 pours orange copper with a nice 11/2 finger fluffy off white head. aroma is crystal malt, hops, and a little spice like cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg with a little pumpkin. has a light body with good lacing and carbonation. flavor is the same as aroma. has a bite from the carbonation and a touch of dry aftertaste. also has a little cinnamon, pumpkin, nutmeg and clove that sits on the tongue for a little bit. its ok. The first bottle was unbearable, but it kind of grew on me. Wouldn’t recommend it unless you want to check it off your list. Hangover (771), Atlanta, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 20, 2007 Copper pour with a lasting white head. Aroma is of spice and brown sugar. Medium bodied but too much carbonation. Taste is spicy with some nutmeg, cinnamon and some malt on the back-end. Quick, slightly bitter finish. Lingering maltiness. OK aroma, pretty average. | 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Oct 19, 2007 Can you hear that sound? If you listen closely you can hear it. It’s the sound of my pouring this crap down my drain. Why do I do this to myself? Why the torture? I keep hoping I’ll find a pumpkin beer I enjoy and end up with crap. Bleecchhh. Nasty, nasty stuff.
Okay, now that it’s out of my system here are my thoughts. An aroma of band-aids, moldy flowers and a nasty vegetative stank that sent shivers up my back. Appearance was...well it looked really nice. A burnt orange color, nice off-white head. Not bad. Flavor. Oh boy. Bad. Not a good bad. But just, bad. Where’s the pumpkin spices? Perhaps a little sweetness might perk this beer up a bit. But it’s hard to put into words how shitty this beer is. Utter crap. Jayb0 (752), Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Oct 19, 2007 Blue moon with just a hint of pumpkin spice thrown in. Better than several pumpkin beers that have overdone the spicing. It’s drinkable and mildly satisfying, but the underlying beer is fairly weak, and that comes through.
