I was very disappointed with this ale. It lacks flavor and any sort of character at all. I will not buy this again. gsteph (266), knoxville, Tennessee, USA

When you buy a specialty, seasonal at the grocery store this is what you get. Actually looks great. Dark amber with a frothy off-white head. Stop!!!!...Don’t drink it!!!! Remember it this way. No aroma, no flavor. Where is the spice, not even a hint of pumpkin... watery and flavorless. Another quality Coors brew...Pumpkin my ass. tytoanderso (1387), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA

Bread that is starting to go bad. The flavor literally made me shiver. Pumpkin my ass. Honestly tasted like fermented cardboard. The only redeeming quality is that it finishes wit a nice burst of hoppy dryness. Really ungood. thehurt01 (206), Denver, Colorado, USA

The smell and appearance and good but the taste of pumpkin is weak and unsatisfying. A good head and body with a mild spice smell. The lacing is good as well is the carbonation. Not bad, but there are better out their. TheBeerOrg (1584), Kentucky, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Sep 19, 2007 Pours orangish amber with a fully receding light tan head. Aroma of spice, nutmeg, and pumpkin. Taste of crystal malt, nutmeg, mace, and pumpkin. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, slightly sticky with lively carbonation. Surprisingly good. badnloose (99), North Hollywood, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 19, 2007 Bottle, probably too cold. Nice nutmeg and spice aroma, and spiced water taste. Pumpkin? I don’t see it anywhere. Tastes just fine, but I was searching for the pumpkin the entire time. Need to re-evaluate. performula (147), Triangle Area, North Carolina, USA

| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Sep 18, 2007 Rated while drinking: Pours a light amber body with a large (aggressive pour) off-white head. Not much pumpkin going on in the aroma, mainly sweet malts and some clove/allspice/nutmeg near the end. Not too appealing compared to other pumpkin ales. Flavor is almost all spices... Too much clove! Tastes like someone put a kretek out in my glass. Finish and aftertaste is subdued with (thankfully) not much clove. Second sip is more accommodating than the first, but spices still override anything else I might get out of the beer. Not too shabby at the beginning and end for the palate. Nicely carbonated, tiny bit of bitterness and dryness at the end. It’s drinkable and I wanted to say I tried over 6 different pumpkin ales... but this one got tagged out trying to steal second.
