Pumpkin is missing in the flavor but a strong spicy, crisp flavor dominated by coriander. scrizzz (1345), kirkland, Washington, USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 6/20 | Aug 30, 2007 Looks very nice with a thick full head and rich orange/amber color. Not much on the aroma, faint sweetness. Sweet, the spices are lacking. I don’t notice the pumpkin or the spices, more like an amber coors. blah. cheapdark (2050), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Aug 25, 2007 Slightly darker than a pale yellow american beer with an orange hue. Foamy head even when gently poured. Medium low carbonation that turns watery in the mouth. Aroma is laid back with hints of odd veggie spice. Mild industrial bitterness begins to build on the back of the throat toward the finish. That bitterness morphs into a medium mild alky malt trait. WhiteAlePower (91), Long Island, New York, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 25, 2007 Now that the name has changed over to "Harvest Moon", which is not advertised here, I also notice the brew is slightly different than last year. I do not detect as much of a Pumpkin spice, as much as allspice and cloves. The brew is decent, but not my favourite for a Pumpkin Ale. Try Shipyard, much better. BREWMUSKCLES (1091), New Jersey, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 24, 2007 THIS IS REGULAR BLUE MOON WHITE BEER, WITH A NICE LAID BACK RECESSIVE PUMPKIN SPICE FLAVOR. I LIKE THAT YOU REALLY CAN’T TELL AT FIRST MAKES IT MORE INTERESTING. GOOD MALT BASE THAT GOES WELL. THIS IS NOT A BAD BEER AT ALL. LITTLE BIT O’ HOPS IN THERE. HOP PROFILE AND CARBONATIONS IS JUST RIGHT- TO MAKE IT A PRETTY DECENT BREW. HHEEYYY I LIKE PUMPKIN! LinusStick (1855), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 24, 2007 Blah! I should have started with this in my pumpkin beer tasting! Aroma was nice...nutmeg, pumpkin and spices. All that it should be. Pour was typical of a pumpkin ale. Medium to dark brown with a thin off white ring for a head. Taste was almost awful. I’m not done with it yet and am not looking forward to the next sip. Great carbonation...but little in flavor. Tastes like mashed up pumpkin pie in seltzer water with a wierd minty aftertaste. Wierd I know. Blah. Quake1028 (633), Tampa, Florida, USA

Loves: Pumpkin pie, pumpkin ice cream, fall, Halloween, college football season starting.
Hates: Original Blue Moon.
Golden orange body, massive soapy looking dirty white head. Looks nice enough. On the nose we have nutmeg, coriander and sweet dough, but everything is very muted. No hint of pumpkin at all in the aroma. Ruh roh. Flavors of dough, yeast, nutmeg and something trying to be pumpkin, but it all tastes very artificial. I would be shocked if there were actually any real pumpkn anywhere in this thing. Finish is just there, somewhat spicy but at this point I don’t really care. Very thin and watery on the palate, soft carbonation. Blech, Blue Moon sucks. mrant (330), New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 22, 2007 Smell is very faint, but is spicy and very malty sweet. Pours a medium clear amber color with a fair amount of head. Taste just like a pumpkin pie! Incredible. A wonderful pumpkin beer. Spicy and very pumpkiny. Tasting this 8/22/07, kinda seems early for the fall season but still a great pumpkin ale.
