| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Sep 28, 2009 Bottle. Pours a burnt orange with disappearing yellowish head. Smells of wheat, spice, and pumpkin. Effervescent, watery. Tastes malty with spice, very little pumpkin. Actually had to double check and make sure it was a pumpkin beer. curly (598), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Sep 27, 2009 Pours clear orange with a thin off-white head. Aroma is grass, mild spice and pumpkin. Taste is uneventful. Easy to drink but nothing special. There really isn’t much pumpkin or spice flavor compared to other beers of this style. Medium body with smooth carbonation. durhambeer (1210), Durham, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 27, 2009 Sample from a bottle. Pours orange, tastes average... mostly malty with some pumpkin notes and mild spice. Given my dislike of pumpkin beers and the accompanying spices (nutmeg, particularly), I’d probably take this over quite a few better-rated beers in the style. jmulv (86), Rensselaer, New York, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Sep 25, 2009 Nice spicy aroma. Taste is fairly complex - malty with some spices. However, it kind of falls flat. No doubt, it’s more complex than some beers, but it’s not the pumpkin ale that’ll win you over. halfonit (454), Fall River, Massachusetts, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Sep 23, 2009 Clear amber color. Aroma is hardly what I call a pumpkin ale. It is mostly malts and wheat. There is a very weak pumpkin smell in the background, which smells a little rotten. Taste is mostly of malts, wheat, and spices. I think that the spices were supposed to make up the pumpkin flavor. This is a poor attempt at a pumpkin ale. smooch (97), Sylvania, Ohio, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Sep 23, 2009 This is an ok beer, but I doubt you’d know it was a "pumpkin" beer if you didn’t read the label. Perhaps the gentle malt is doing it, but it seems pretty light and drinkable whereas I like more tasty spices. SuIIy (1449), Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Sep 23, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a small off white head. Nose is lightly spicy with some pumpkiny notes. Palate is light to medium with a fizzy tickle. Flavors of light fall spices, nutmeg, pumpkin. Sparky27 (1596), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 22, 2009 Bottle. Pours crystal clear amber with a one finger off-white head. The nose is spice and more fruit than pumpkin. The taste is malt, pumpkin seeds and fake tasting spices. Medium mouthfeel. Lakefront was the better of the three pumpkin beers tonight
