Clear, bright orange with a thin not-quite-white head. Nice label. Ding for the twistoff. Tangy, peppery hopping, lightly astringent. Medium body, nice carbonation. A fair picnic ale. linkolnlogg (94), your home, Minnesota, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 6, 2006 Bottle. Pours a crisp and clear copper amber colour with a nice billowy creamy head that laces well. Scent is spicy/cinnamon and yeast. Taste is mild bodied with cinnamon and hints of spices and pumpkin all of which leaves a pleasant and creamy residue upon the palate. A surpisingly good example of a good pumpkin ale, slightly lacking in complexity but a definite adherence and example of and to its style. unclemattie (2416), Georgia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 10/20 | Oct 5, 2006 Copper colored, off white head. Smells like pie. Cinnamon aromas. Creamy texture. Wow, There is a taste of pumpkin. The foamy head and creamy texture go together as if it were a pie. shp555 (1686), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Oct 5, 2006 Amber in color with a offwhite head. Pours a rich amber color. The smell is of autumn spices, cinnamon and allspice, with maybe a touch of pumpkin. Sweet in flavor with nice spicyness but not a lot of pumpkin. Pumpkin only show a little bit in after taste. themadmumis (344), Westminster, Maryland, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 4, 2006 Medium bodied, well-blended brew. Not overdone like other Pumpkin offerings, but tactfully spiced. Rather nice. cewldre (268), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 3, 2006 Bottle: Pours orange/reddish in color with a medium, creamy looking white head. I smell a small bit of spice in this one, a little big of allspice. I think I may smell a trace of pumpkin, but I am not sure, as I don’t get a large aroma from this beer at all. Beer has only slighlty more flavor than the smell seems to make it out to have. Only a hint of pumpkin and spice in this one. Think regular Blue Moon plus a pinch of allspice and you’ve got what this beer is. xav33 (313), Midland, MI, Michigan, USA

12 oz bottle
Recent bottling, carved into 10/06
Medium pour in a tulip glass.
Poured clear copper/brown with a medium slightly off-white mostly diminishing frothy white head.
Smelt of light roasted malt and slight pumpkin.
Taste was upfront, light sweet licorice and pumpkin and moderate toasted wheat bread followed by a very light medley of traditional pumpkin spices and a strong bitter burnt malt finish on a moderately long bitter spice finish. Mouthfeel was light to medium, slightly oily, fizzy with light astringency that turns to harsh astringency on the finish.
Overall, a pumpkin beer that is intriguing, in complex flavors and strong earthy autumn feel, nice raw pumpkin taste, but leaves a bitter taste on the finish.

Tasted like their White Ale that was passed in the general direction of a pumpkin. Head, color and nose were all decent. I’d have another but there are better pumpkin beers out there.
