Nutmeg flavor with more spices, aroma is about the same. After taste wasn’t great, and not very smooth. " drowland (1429), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

Flavor of spice, pumpkin, bread, wheat. Not bad, and certainly delivers on its name, but by the end of one, I get my fill for the season. MrRoss (617), Delta, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 14, 2009 To start, I received a foamy, off-white head of maybe 1-2/3 fingers thickness above a dark orange body. Aroma...well, yes, there surely is pumpkin there. The taste was again with the pumpkin; quite different and certainly interesting, plus there was some kind of spice business going on as well. Mouthfeel was quite alright, thanks, and the finish was clean and not overly sweet. A nice beer, but I don’t think I could drink much of this stuff in one session. One can have TOO much pumpkin, you know. Reminds me of the hoary old one of "What do hillbillies do at Thanksgiving? They pump-kin!" Please forgive me that one. tmoreau (597), Lombard, Illinois, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jun 30, 2009 12 oz. bottle from beer stash refrig. Somehow pushed to the back since late fall so not expecting much. Poured a deep orange/amber into my festival sampler glass, with a tight bubble foam and good curtains of lacing. The aroma was malty, with some fruit sweetness and a little pie spice. Searched for an indication of pumpkin, but got a toned down version of the aroma with an initial dryness and light hop bitterness. Somewhat fizzy carbonation and a light body were also noted. Fall and early winter reviews indicated more flavor so maybe worth another try next fall. Besides the flavor fall-off, the appearance was rather good and still stored reasonably well.
