Clear aroma with honey overtones. Honey taste is good but not overpowering. Want a little more body, but the presentation is good.
I think this beer is underrated here.
Also, for what its worth, I really like the bottle shape. Sparky27 (1608), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | May 15, 2009 Pours clear light gold with a one finger white head. The nose is sweet wheat and faint citrus. The taste is wheat and light honey. Lighter mouthfeel. Meh, boring. BeerFanDan17 (628), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | May 9, 2009 Nice average wheat or summer ale. Smells a bit skunky, but overall smooth. SuIIy (1484), Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | May 9, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours a bright yellow color with a big white foamy head. Sniffing the bottle smells like sweet honey. Sniffing the glass smells like straw and dirt. Palate is thin and a bit stingy with a dirty feel. Light straw and grass notes. Flavors of light sweetness but mostly stale, dirty malt notes and some cardboard. aaronhaywood (74), Kansas City, Missouri, USA

At this point, this tastes like if bees started a brewery. I like honey lagers a lot, but I’m not sure if I like honey with an ale. Definitely drinkable. Maybe its not hot enough outside yet. ditmier (1110), Boise, Idaho, USA

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | May 2, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Pours a slightly hazy yellow with a one inch foamy, white head. Nose is musty lemon, some wheat, and a touch of honey. Medium carbonation with a medium-light mouthfeel and a touch of dryness. Lemon, grain, fruity yeast, a touch of honey, and a light wheat note on the palate. Short, clean finish. As I got to the end of the beer, the lemon started to taste a bit artificial. donteatpoop (125), Youngstown, Ohio, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 29, 2009 Straw yellow with a little bit of white head, a bit cloudy with some sediment resting at the bottom.
Citrus and honey malts.
Delicious, the sweetness wasn’t overbearing, but was certainly present. Underlying hints of citrus and hops.
This was crisp and refreshing, a wonderful beer.
The more I drink of these the more I like them. I’m glad I didn’t comment on my first beer, because though I liked it I didn’t care for it as much. I’ve dabbed at the sixer of these I bought, and the last couple I had were fantastic. I think the additional 2 weeks it had to age may have matured it a bit, but maybe I was just more into it or something, I don’t know.
Either way, this is one of my favorites from Blue Moon. Hate Blue Moon, but I love their seasonals.
