Beer is a smooth drinker, if you like Blue Moon Belgian Wheat as a treat every now and again, then this would be it’s everyday counterpart. Wheat, honey, and slight taste of orange are all present, but not in excess. Goes down easy and is very satisfying for the season in which it was intended. One of my favorite summertime "any day" beers.

One bottle in trade. Avg. white head on this brew with a slightly sweet aroma. Nice wheat with taste of honey and orange. I had this after trimming some branches off my skyliner locast tree. It was very refreshing. Thanks JB.

Pours a crisp and clear light colden color with a small white head. Aroma is citrus and honey. The initial taste is malty and finishes with a bit of citrus and honey. A very easy drinking beer.

Brought over by some friends on an evening visit. Had one bottle and that was quite enough for me. Hazy golden pour with a thin white head. Aroma was odd, but intriguing sort of a harsh honey spicy sweetness. Thin body with a tacky finish, not very refreshing. Sweet and semi-dry but not too involved. Flavor just didn’t click with me. Overpowering honey flavoring detracting from almost anything else that’s in there. A hint of spice, faint light malts. Nah, not my bag.

Bottle from Frugal McDugal in Nashville, TN. Unlike many people here, I am not going to let anti-macro bias interfere with my rating. Pours a hazy golden amber with a fizzy white head and large carbonation bubbles. Light to medium bodied with a overly fizzy texture. Aroma of clove, honey, and citrus. Initial flavor of pale wheat malts with a moderate amount of sweetness. The clove like spiciness takes center stage mid palate, most likely because of the dryness from the honey. The orange peel is merely an accent. Clean finish with a small amount of spicy bitterness. The real weakness with the beer is the fizzy mouthfeel. Otherwise this is a decent beer, especially from a macro. I have no doubt that many of these raters would rate this a tad higher in a blind tasting, or if this had a tiny micro brew label slapped on the bottle. Certainly better than a 2.6 average.

Poured a light clear golden amber. Not much aroma or head. Definite honey taste - luckily it didn’t taste like your typical wheat. Pleasant - easily drinkable.

I’ve got a bad feeling about this, given my dislike for honey beers and wheat beers. Pours lights gold, with a thick, white head. Strange smell, almost like old fruit. Sweet and flat tasting. Kind of thin. Weird conglomeration of flavors. Too much going on for such a light beer. Better than expected. But, too many additions.

I am thinking more and more that Blue Moon is sacrificing something with their brews. The original is great, but all these offshoots are nothing but sub-par! Yes, you can detect the honey aroma, which is nice, but it is almost too subtle when drinking it. I had a 6 pack of 12 oz bottles. The beer was relatively drinkable, but left me yearning for more flavour.
