Situation: Working on some poetic lines, however elusive they prove to be...
Glassware: Hoegaarden tumbler...
Appearance: light copper body with bubbles clinging to every edge in the tumbler; white, fizzy, foamy head thins quickly--definitely filtered...
Aroma: bright, sprightly cloveed and citric--nothing subtle here--and the orange zest (whether legit or additive) is alluring...
Palate: a fizzy, zesty busy medium-bodied ale--a bit thin at the finish but present enough as the sip begins; set for "refreshing"...
Taste: the lemony/orange citric zip refreshes; can this be an ale with zero hop presence? wheat is light, which means the flavor is too--intentional, yes; though the evening is not muggy or hot, it still works as Coors intended, yet this one should best the OG Blue Moon in taste, and I am not sure it does--plus, I’d rather have the real lemon or orange in the glass, not in the bottle... Overall: This finishes with an almost dish detergent lemon drizzle, and isn’t really slammable because it actually is slammable enough...

Dec 23, 2009 Pours golden with a white head, taste is similar to regular blue moon wit but with less sweetness and a lighter body. Decent orange and honey sweetness, but overall not a beer I like to drink.

Dec 18, 2009 Pale golden and transparent. Slightly metallic with some light sour citrus aroma. Not particularly notable. Tastes like honey and is quite sweet. Basically honey in beer from. Some slight bitterness and floral flavor is there but overwhelmed by the honey.

Nov 28, 2009 This is definitely one of my favorite ale’s to just drink. Not really to savor, it’s not real complex. Just a great ale to sip on while you’re hanging out with friends. It is fairly sweet, and I just like it! Haha.

Nov 21, 2009 Not a bad beer. I drink it a lot at BBQ’s in the summer. It’s a very light bodied beer which is good for those hot days, but has a decent amount of flavor.

Nov 8, 2009 Picked up a single 12-oz bottle from Cellars Wine & Spirits in St Paul, MN. Pours a clear golden pale colored brew with a thin off-white head that dissipates clean. Aroma of golden grain malt, some citrus and a hint of heat. Taste is light bodied, golden grain malt, some honey, wheat and very light spice. Finish is light, crisp with very little aftertaste is any.

Nov 6, 2009 Had this beer a long time ago so dont remember too well. Remember not like it too much and its like any of these macro summer honey beers. Not a big fan of any of the blue moon beers. "the ones by coors".

Oct 30, 2009 Part of a backlog and so not available anymore. Don’t worry, you aren’t missing too much. This really, really wants to be Belgian, but its not. Light wheat flavor which translates to a thin orange flavor. Definitely a star of the brewer, but not something you should spend any effort finding.
