From a bottle. Poured cloudy yellow. Nose of wheat and citrus. Medium mouthfeel. Flavor of yeast and orange. Served very cold this is somewhat refreshing.

03-Jul-08 (12-oz bottle, Best by 02-Nov-08: Purchased 27-Jun-08 for $1.79 at Holiday Wine Cellar in Escondido, CA) Yet another entry in the Blue Moon family of mediocrity. The combination of honey and orange peel never really does anything for me except to make me scrunch my face in disapproval. The sweet, floral, and herbal honey flavor hits immediately in the entry and gradually fades off the palate. In conjunction, the orange peel builds toward the finish, leaving an unpleasant, bitter taste in my mouth. The yeasty and wheaty base is extremely doughy and sits heavy on the palate, which counters the goal of a refreshing summer ale. The medium body has more weight than the average American wheat beer, but this, too, hurts the drinkability of this summer beer. Carbonation is high, resulting in a few loud eructations. Sweetbreads and yeast in the nose. Hazy, golden-yellow in color with plenty of carbonation streams rising through the beer. The creamy, white head pours to half an inch, but shows solid retention by holding a thin layer for several minutes. Large, dense patches of lace blanket the glass. Not an enjoyable beer, but I can’t say that I find any of the Blue Moon beers enjoyable, but it’s especially true of their wheat beers.

Bottle - Poured a slightly cloudy light yellow in color with a foamy white head. Aroma is slightly sweet, but not strong. Flavor was also slightly sweet, but not with the flavor of honey. Slightly citrus in the finish. Not a lot here... easy drinking, but not really worth repeating.

One of the worst beers I’ve ever tried that was not out of a can at a party.Completely flat and void of any good characteristics. Aroma was that of old Bud Light or Natural Light left over from the night before in a Silo cup. Honey taste was absent. Orange and lemon is added I’m guessing to mask the poor qualities of the fundamental brew. I actually had to pour the glass out after taking a few sips. Save yourselves the frustration and stick with regular, fantastic Blue Moon.
