Aug 11, 2002 Good brown ale! Not expected in th4e USA but here none-the-less! Good taste & body! Authority as well. Some sourness in the aftertaste.

Dec 14, 2000 I wasnt expecting much, but I was really impressed with this one. Great malt taste and really a decent brown ale. Id buy others first, but i wouldnt be unhappy with a blue moon.

Nov 25, 2000 Drinkable, good malt nose and a fair hop bite. Not a bad brown ale as they go, but a far shot from NewCastle.

Apr 16, 2004 Pours deep brown, with aroma of malt, slight toffee, and caramel. Tastes malty and nutty, with some caramel, almond, and malt flavor at the finish. Pretty good.

Jan 1, 2007 Bottle. A very tasty brew indeed! Smooth and very rich. Roasted malt and caramel. Pure joy. Sad that it is no longer brewed.

May 9, 2006 I haven’t had this in about 11 years, but I remember it being somewhat flavorful. It might have gotten a higher rating from me, but I am not a big fan of the style.
