This is a good offering to get people interested in craft beers. Fairly spicy for a mass-produced offering. Overall pretty pleasant. Palidor19 (1792), Brandon, Florida, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Nov 26, 2008 The aroma is inviting with pine hops, yeast, bread, citrus and maybe a touch of spice. The elements are good but somehow they fail to completely impress. The appearance is deep gold with an orange hue. The head is average. The taste is not as complex as the aroma. It’s got some soapy and astringent bitter elements but mostly it’s got a macro twang to the malt and a touch of citrus. Like the aroma the taste doesn’t work 100%. The palate is thin. Overall it’s better than most macro’s but suffers some of the same problems. clueo (112), Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 26, 2008 Maple syrup in color and light on carbonation. Very smooth but not all tha hoppy. A nice drinkable simple beer. Shag (1923), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Nov 18, 2008 An amber color with a soapy white head. The aroma contains some citrus and caramel. The flavor is somewhat sweet with some citrus, caramel, and a biscuit flavor going on. Biggest complaint here is the thin palate but overall not bad for Blue Moon. lithy (1800), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 17, 2008 Clear amber color with a thin quickly disappearing whitish head. Metallic pale malt some citrus and a bit of floral (must be the hibiscus?) and that is about it. Taste is lightly caramel, amber malt, more breadiness and steely aftertaste. Nice cascade hop finish that seems to build after each sip. Butters (1651), Virginia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 15, 2008 Thanks lithy for saving me from having to by a brewpack. But this actually wasn’t that bad. Clear dark golden amber with thin offwhite head. Sweet light malt aroma. Sweet vanilla flavor. Impressive for having the bluemoon name.
