Commercial Description:
Inspired by the Blue Moon Brewery's full line of handcrafted ales, Raspberry Cream Ale starts with Cascade hops from the Northwest, and caramel and two-row pale malts. Then we add whole and pureed raspberies to give it a balanced taste with a creamy finish.

A friend of mine bought this once, and I'm surprised to see how few people have managed to get ahold of it. In my opinion, it wasn't all that great. Sweet, but not in a way that was altogether pleasant on the tongue. Decent aroma to it, but also nothing spectacular. All around, an average fruit beer. Not even CLOSE to a great fruit beer like Quelque Chose.

Medium reddish brown color, medium head. Raspberry aroma. Medium bodied ale. Sweet and fruity. There are some malts and hops in this beer, but they are really masked. The raspberry flavor is rich and creamy and rather pleasant, but it not really very beer-like. Still tastes ok, but don’t think I would drink this one a lot. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is sweet.

I had this a long time ago and haven’t seen it since. As I recall it was very good, not nearly as sweet as, say, Lindemans Framboise. I’ll give it a provisional rating until I can find it again.

This is a very old rating - Very nice texture, with just enough berry flavor

Drinkable, not a fruit beer drinker, but i always try them out. Nice fruity nose, good malt and hop presence, but not something I would drink as a rule.
