The aroma has some soft wheat scents covered by sweet (?) lime juice. When you taste it, it goes to the typical Wheaties flavor with a hint of caramel and a good dose of watered down lime-ade splashed in. I rather not have this again.

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Apr 2, 2008 I noticed a strange thing about this beer...when held up to the light, the beer in its glass is the exact same color as the empty bottle it came from. Smellsis of caramel and light malt. Tasted of citrus, with the lime mentioned in the description barely coming through in the finish. An okay beer. scrizzz (1323), kirkland, Washington, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | Apr 1, 2008 nice appearance, amber in the center, honey on the edges. 3 finger head, sparse with largish bubbles that still hung around for a while. i guess that there is some of the lime essence there, when i was looking for it, but mostly all i smell is chlorine and soft wheat. yuck. once warmed up a little, it tastes like a heavier version of a warm macro. the wheat never has a chance to refresh and I wrinkled my nose and poured it out quickly. exadore (92), Sacramento, California, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 31, 2008 Bottle. Poured a dirty straw colour with a nice light tan head, with excellent lacing. Nose of sweet sweet malt and hints of citrus. Taste lacks body, and might be overcarbonated, but definitely not very good. I think the best word to describe this beer is bland. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 31, 2008 Pours a clear dark gold with a fluffy, off-white head that laces well. The nose is a bit muted, especially while waiting for the head to subside. After it settles, I get a bright, fresh, minty wheat with a soft citrus that leans toward lime. Light-bodied and thin, soft and slick, it finishes fairly dry and lightly spicy. Aqueous and very easy-drinking. A pleasant blend of soft wheat, light herbal mintiness and a faint lime note. This is a very quaffable spring seasonal that does a decent job of capturing the essence of a spring day: light, "green", and fresh. Many beer geeks love to bash anything from BMC, but aside from their winter seaonal (Full Moon), I like the Blue Moon beers. This is a good example of a widely distributed beer that doesn’t "wow" you but can be a great session brew. TURDFERGUSON (1606), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Mar 29, 2008 Bottle I stole from Taylor last night. Nose was sweet with hints of lime and tortilla chips. Flavor had more lime and the wonderful bmc flavor. Don’t think I would have picked this to be a wheat ale. UnholyBrewing (448), Melbourne(Mulgrave), Australia
| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Mar 28, 2008 ...I don’t know what this was supposed to be, but it was horrible, and watery. Disappointing to say the least, and no hints or notes of any flavor. No real reason to buy this over any other BM. RustedHalo (11), USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/20 | Mar 26, 2008 For starters, this is not intended to be a traditional (disgusting) lime beer such as Miller chill or Tequiza. Those beers are intended for consumption by people who don’t enjoy the flavor of beer and need to disguise it with heavy lime (or furniture polish, in the case of Tequiza). This beer is brewed with lime leaves and lime zest, and the intent seems to be only the subtle hint of lime in an otherwise beer-tasting ale. I would say that the goal is met, but it’s not terribly interesting. If you gave this to someone who enjoys wheat ales in a blind tasting, they might not notice the lime. I prefer original Blue Moon, but this might be better to consume when it’s very hot outside. It has an assuredly lighter and more refreshing quality compared to traditional Blue Moon.
