12 oz bottle; Nose of musty wheat with a lime hint , but no fruity esters at all; lightly hazed copper with a small beige head; the flavor has a little pepperiness, some light caramelly sweetness, light lime, and a bit of acetic tartness for a finish.

12 ounce bottle from City Market in Burlington, VT (March 2008) sampled ice-cold from the freezer out of a Unibroue glass. I let this one sit in the deep freeze a wee bit too long and it had just started to solidify in the neck -- hey, it’s a Coors product, it’s cold-brewed and supposed to taste chillin’, so that’s what I did. Pours into the glass a lightly hazy dark amber with a massive, fairly stable off-white fine-bubbled head that laces a bit as it diminishes....the lime aroma is present though a bit muted, and there is a note of sour wheat malt; not bad....the body is fairly dry, lightly tart, faintly citric, a bit thin and too highly carbonated but very drinkable and not at all unpleasant....no question this has to be the best product I’ve had from Coors; not something I’ll likely buy again, but comparable at least to something like the Leinenkugels fruity-wheat beers and better than some of the attempts from my local micros. Not bad at all.

I was celebrating the end of winter at the NY Wine show when I came across the Blue Moon stand. Funny, I though. I just had had a great Super Tuscany from Italy and wasn’t much looking to have a beer but then I noticed the Blue Moon Spring Ale. I figured I like drinking Blue Moon when at a bar, maybe the spring will help me clear my palate and it did. Very refreshing but the lime slice was a bit odd. I would buy it for a nice spring beer with friends on the porch. Had in draft. Not as good as Blue Moon but OK.

Simply a delicious, refreshing and unigue Spring Ale. A nice balanced and crisp tartness from the Keiffer lime leaves and lime peel. Very smooth and fresh taste and a unigue flavor. Great Job Blue Moon!

i didn’t want to like this beer...but i kinda did. mild and a little sweet. unfortunately the lime flavor is a little artificial, but what do you expect from coors?

Hmmm, a wheat ale with Kieffer lime leaves, interesting pairing. Too bad it smells like cardboard and the processed sweetners give Rising Moon little sparkle. Not exactly sure what this recipe is asking me to enjoy. Had it in both bottles and draft, and the draft was a little better.

I like this more than regular blue moon. hazy light orange color with a thin white head. aroma of malt and wheat and spice. flavor was mild and easy and very much like a wheat. had a creamy palate but a nice dry finish witch made me want a little more. I will try this again.

12 oz. bottle poured into weizen- poured transparent orange golden color, medium carbonation of very tiny bubbles, off tan head bubbled away shortly. Aroma of yeast, weak grains, and soft fruit. Hits the mouth with a thin body, some fake sweetness very easily detectable, wheat is very weak, finish is uninspiring- no acidity or bitterness at all. The aroma and sight of it had promise, but it horribly weak even for the style.
