The aroma contains a hint of lime and wheat. But it really doesn’t smell like much of anything. The flavor contains some caramel, lime, and bready notes. Just like the aroma the flavor is dull. Overall nothing offensive about the beer but nothing great either. Gmku (255), Asheville, North Carolina, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 3, 2008 Bleh. This is the very essence of mediocrity, in everything from the label art to the aroma, appearance, flavor, and palate of the beer. I swear this tastes the same as every other Blue Moon beer I’ve tried. Oh, I know why--it’s really just a Coors. SuperDave70 (1158), Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 3, 2008 pours a clear brownish orange color, with a small fizzy whit head. Sweet aroma of wheat yeast and lime peel Flavor was ok, not as limey as I was expecting. Pretty easy drinking. A good fruit brew. jredmond (1079), New Jersey, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 3, 2008 Updated: Feb 19, 200812 oz bottle. Pours a dark orange that does not look hazy at all... very clear. The aroma is wheat and lime maybe? The taste is the same, pretty smooth and easy to drink, but also has some decent flavor. I will try this again.
Second time I had this on draught, and my friends (not knowing what I had brought back a pitcher of) were convinced at first that this was magic hat #9 due to the slight fruity taste. I did not taste this in the bottle, but definitely on draft. Okay beer, but Ive lowered my original rating. craftycarl21 (601), South Hero, Vermont, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 2, 2008 beer had a rambunctious head. intriguing aroma. beer has a flowery taste to it, can certainly see why it’s labelled as a spring ale. thinnish in consistency, but ok flavor. decent beer overall. | 1.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/20 | Feb 1, 2008 Bottle. Pours weak and uninspired, brownish in hue, weak amber in ambience. Smells of stale nut and melon, particularly pumpkin (this is a Spring ale???). Flavor is dull pumpkin with a touch of, um, nacho chips. Really, I got nacho chips (stale) outta this one. Lime? Not happening in my bottle. Watery mouthfeel. I had high hopes for this, as I like Blue Moon, but this is nasty. Avoid. Prostman (1077), Pennsylvania, USA

Give them credit for that. The fizzy mouthfeel also goes well with the lime. Reasonably well balanced. Decent head, nice color. I detected a very slight off-flavor but otherwise, pretty smooth and drinkable.
