bottle, foamy amber colored pour, aromas are weak fruits, flavors of bready, fruicake, finishes rather flat

Got this at some bar Downtown chicago called Brando’s. Copperish pour with fake styrofoam white head. Smells like a glass of chlorinated pool water. Some pee. With a sprig of lime, for good measure. Flavor is more chlorine, more pee, and a bit of citrus in the finish. Effervescent, alka seltzer mouthfeel. Clean, boring finish. Will never drink this again.

Copper pour. Biscuity aroma with a hint of the lime. Wow. The flavor is really smooth, and the lime provides an almost hidden sweetness. Not sure this is a wheat ale, but I’m sure I like it.

Bottle best by June 21 2009. Poured a clear copper with a pillow off-white head that left light lace. Aromas of malt and earthiness with a light hop background. The flavor was bready topped off with some citrus. Medium flavor and an earthy aftertaste.

Bottle. Pretty weak all around. Seems like it would be decent on a really hot day. The lime was kind of cool.

Crisp and refreshing. Just like a wheat, no real great aroma, good color for most. Smell and taste the limes. Good overall.

This personifies the tasteless wheat. Nice head and color though. $1.29/bottle at Whole Foods in Miami

12 oz bottle. Pours light copper with some gray floaties and a thin whitish head. The aroma is lightly skunked at first, but that goes away quickly; then it’s grass, candyish caramel, some honey, and a light lemon note. The flavor is caramel sweetness, grainy wheat, some lemon, a few grassy notes. The finish is very grainy. Meh.
