Dark copper color with a thin head. Interesting aroma that’s kind of sweet and almost seems like molasses. Goes downhill from here... I don’t know about "winter spices". Kind of a sour dry malt taste that’s just plain.

Pours a dull copper w/ medium sized semi creamy froth. Aroma is spiced and malty. Light o medium nectar w/ ample residual effers. Flavors are very fruity w/ cereal and spice. Fruity candy w/ slight biscuiting. Modertely malty w/ a sharp, stinging bittering on the finish. Not my cup of tea.

11/25/06: Bottle.
Red-orange body which is very transparent. Not much head/lace. Plum-sugar aroma with a touch of Starbucks liquid caramel flavoring. Spiced-sweet caramel malt flavor with a touch of carrot. Tastes very artificial.

This beer is a dark amber color with a medium bone white head that dissipates pretty quickly. Thin, spotty lacing. Lots of vanilla aroma, along with a touch of malt and spice. Light-bodied and alternatingly spicy and vanilla-sweet. Aside from that there is a light malt flavor. The segmentation of the flavors is a little jarring but overall the flavors are okay. The finish is mildly spiced and the vanilla gives it an aftertaste like a cream soda. So-so all around.

This isn’t terrible but not nearly as tasty as the wit. Lots of nutmeg; more than I have ever tasted in a beer. Sweet, kind of sugary flavor with a very dry aftertaste. It is worth trying.

bottle - Pours amber with a medium sized head. The aroma is malty with a little vanilla. The flavor is very sweet with caramel malts, vanilla, and some spice. It’s too sweet, but really not bad.

Pours amber with big white head that dissovles quickly. Nice fruity and vanllia flavors with a not so strong, but none the less good flowing aroma of spice and vanilla.

Nice amber color with a white head that really froffs up. With your first taste, the back of your throat is head with a rather strong taste of vanilla but not too strong. Really quite a smooth brew.
