Sampled at the brewery 4-19-09 Clear gold with a thin white head. Aroma was Fruit and corn. Flavor was grain, malt and hops with a dry finish

12 oz bottle. Light grain and caramel aroma with hint of hops. Clear yellow/golden with small fine white head. Well carbonated. Nice medium body and mouth feel. Clean light caramel malt flavor with light spicy hop flavor. Finish is clean dry and moderately bitter.

Bottle courtesy of CrellMoset poured into a pint glass. Pours deep, clear golden amber with streams of bubbles feeding a small white head that stays on as a swirl of bubbles for the duration. The aromas are the typical smells of pale malts, grain and maybe a faint hint of earthy hops. Overall a pretty sweet and slightly toasted aroma. The taste has a slightly more noticeable earthy hop profile up front before the sweet pale malt backbone takes over. The finish is fairly dry and a bit bready. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with good carbonation and a bit doughy on the palate. This is definitely a good beer for drinking on a hot, sunny day as it goes down very easily. An above average lager.

Bottle with Butters at the Second Cellar Reduction. Golden pour with a white head. Piney hop aroma. Bitter hops and a good malt backbone.

Pours clear golden with fizzy small white head. Aroma is lightly grainy and somewhat metallic. Flavor is sweet and corny with a slight floral hop on the finish. Medium thin body with moderate carbonation. Not up to par.

Bottle, #434. Clearish yellow pour and small head. Light cornlike flavor and aroma, typical of style. Not too impressive.

Not my favorite style, nor beer from this brewer. Too sweet- corn like. Not much malt flavor. Again, I’m biased because I am not a fan of this style, but this one was nothing remarkable.

Pours a clean gold, about a finger and a half creamy head. Looks like a nice lager should... rather nice. A nice, light citrus/fruit nose, a nice touch of hops in there. Fruity, sweet malt flavours, followed by hops. Quite a nice balance of malts/hops, with a rather hoppy finish. This is a good, straight forward lager, and I’d say it’s quite honest to the commercial description. Not at all overly carbonated, though perhaps not too crisp, either. Again, a decent balance, and a nicely rounded lager. Quite good for its class, and fortunately, it’s a local brewery. It serves as a good respresentative of its style.
