12 oz bottle. Clear, deep gold with a thin white head. Lots of carbonation. Grassy, light grain nose, mildly sweet. Decent flavor, grassy and mild malt, a bit of grain. Mild floral bite in the finish. Pretty solid for what it is. Finish is a bit weak, but a pleasant beer.

12oz bottle labeled Best Before 03 2008. Poured a deeper golden color with an averaged sized white head. Aromas of grassiness and some grains. Subtle tastes of grass and some malty sweetness. Not offensive.

Bottle from The Virginia Touch. Grassy aroma, clear light amber pour with a slight head. Clean pale malt leads the flavor profile, with light noble hops, some grass, and just a whiff of lager-yeast sulfur. Quite substantial body from the malt, and a clean finish with moderate residual sweetness. This is very much a lager, not a pilsner.

On tap at the brewery, part of a sampler. Nothing too exciting but a decent lager, a step up compared to certain other local lagers I could name.

On tap at brewpub. Medium to light gold, decent head, clear. Aroma is of hay and slightly floral hops, pleasant. Flavor was essentially a match, with a nice balancing pale malt sweetness. Nicely done, very clean taste. These guys know what they are doing here.

12oz. Fairly substantial for a lager. Dark golden, clear pour with a short white head. Mostly grass in the nose, full lager flavor with more grass, spritz of citrus and malt finishing fairly dry. Good carbonation, edges towards a pilsner style if you let it warm a tad.

12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Market in Charlottesville, VA. Enjoy by 02/2009. Pours a clear copper color with a medium head. Good head retention and lacing,. Aroma of toasted malts and grassy notes. Taste is toasted malts with bitter, grassy hops. Medium bodied.
