From bottle, courtesy of dpuart. Light grassy herbal hop nose, with some grapefruit peel and a bit of chemical astringency. Sweet brown sugar notes, too. Golden amber clear with thin off-white lacing head. Medium body with medium carbonation. Starts with a bit of brown sugar sweetness before the bitterness takes over. Astringent bitterness, harsh until the end. Unpleasant. Dry bitter after.

7/20/08 - Draft sample at brewery. Pours clear amber/orange with eggshell head. Medium carb. Nose is slight hops and caramel. Taste is spicy American hops, citrus and floral with moderate bitter and good balance. Very nice pale ale.

The aroma is malty and hoppy with a touch of biscuits. The appearance is golden with a nice head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is typical for the style. Overall a nice beer.

12 oz bottle from a trade with dkachur. pours orange with a nice tan head. very good IPA appearance. aromas are nice and hoppy, mostly citrus hops but some piney aromas too, there is also caramel malt sweetness. flavours are similar to the aromas. very tight and well balanced. not very big or bossy, just a well crafted IPA.

Sample at Alan’s HSC initation. This beer is a clear orange color with a compact off-white head that burns away slowly. Stringy lacing on the glass. The aroma is moderately bitter with hops backed up by caramel and earthy malt. Medium-bodied with a hoppy character. Notes of caramel and malt along with a bit of citrus too. The finish is hoppy and lingering. Decent all around.

Tried from bottle with Atlanta ratebeer crew at 5 Seasons North tasting. Best by 06/2008. Amber color. Early boil hop bitterness. Some Saaz hop aroma (or a little little light struck).
