(Sample Date: 3/12/2009 Source:Capital Ale House - IMidlo) Beer dinner hosted by Taylor Smack. 7.6% ABV Cooler fermentation temps. Crystal, caramel malts. Peat smoked barley. Very slight smoke in aroma, toasty and bready. Crystal clear deep amber with small off-white head. Light caramel flavors with some toast and hint of roast. Medium body with robust bitterness to finish.

On tap at Capital Ale House - Midlothian for the Blue Mountain Beer Dinner on 03/12/2009. Very clear deep amber body with ruby highlights and a medium creamy tan had. Sweet caramel and rum-soaked fruit aroma with light peat hints. Very sweet caramel falvor with some toasty hints, earthy hops, and a bit of peat. Medium full body with moderately low carbonation.

End of the keg at Capital Ale House Midlothian. Reddish brown with very nice lacing. Aroma was faint, spicy and caramel. Flavor was spicy and very smooth.

Fresh growler from the brewery. Pours a reddish copper color with a medium head. Good head retention and nice lacing. Very earthy aroma with peat and caramel notes. Taste is earthy malts, assertive spicy, earthy hops, brown sugar and subtle fruity notes. Medium bodied.
