Jul 14, 2008 Bottle thanks to dkachur: Pours a clear deep golden with a spotty-lacing white head. Aroma of lightly sweet malted wheat and a touch of banana. Body starts with average fullness and carbonation with a nice wheaty sweetness and spicy clove balance with a touch of banana fruitiness. Finishes smooth and semi-sweet. True to style and very drinkable.

Jul 1, 2008 Bottle; pours a clear, ruddy-orange gold with a small, foamy head. Aroma of banana, bread, fruit and toasted caramel. Fairly hoppy for the style; some definite bitterness in the finish. Flavor was dominated by wheaty banana, didn’t find it very sweet. Some toasted aspects as well. Agree with the previous rater who mentioned it reminded them of a pils. Some light fizziness in the carbonation. I’m not sure I fully grasp this style, but this one is above average in my opinion.

Jun 22, 2008 12 ox bottle from a trade with dkachur. pours light copper white a small white head and very tiny carbonation bubble that are steady enough just to keep a ring around the outside of the glass. aromas are sweet wheatiness, almost pils-ish, some banana bread and citrus in there too. flavours are wheat and citrus. i get some pils aspects along with some wheat beer notes. interesting. american hops in the finish added a nice touch. this was enjoyable but not overly exciting.

Jun 11, 2008 This Kristall Weizen pours a light orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity, bananas and sweet. A medium bodied weizen. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are slightly spicy. Lots of banana flavors. Fairly sweet with some spicy hops at the back end. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Jun 11, 2008 Pours deep golden into the glass, with a diminishing fizz. The nose, as noted by others, has a large bubblegum and banana contingency... some earthen straw/wheat in there, as well. Sweet wheat and light pale malt flavors, with a touch of yeast toward the midback-palate. Some spiced hopping is noted in the finish. Medium-light embodiment that lends itself to be easily drinkable. Maybe not my style of choice, but goes down well on a hot summer day, providing enough substance without killing the quaffability.
